Health & Justice Project Goes To Nashville

The last time we checked in about Health & Justice Project we were in Buffalo, NY recording the stories of doctors, healthcare professionals and patients at Jericho Road Family Practice.  We finished producing those stories this April and they can now be heard on the homepage of our website.  Producer Jeremy Helton headed south to Nashville, TN to meet Jericho Road Family Practice founder Dr. Myron Glick and record more stories about healthcare at a three-day conference (May 31 – June 2) organized by the Christian Community Health Fellowship.

A Thursday session lead by Patty Prasado-Rao explores ways of providing health care service to communities and individuals without creating further dependence

Day one of the conference Jeremy spoke with Wayne Aoki, the Mental Health Director at Los Angeles Christian Health Center and Susan Post, CEO of Esperanza Health Center in Philadelphia.  He also checked out a couple of the sessions including one on HIV care in faith-based communities.

Another Thursday session on HIV care

Stay tuned for more updates as the conference continues.
